 Tom Stebbins-Executive Director

Tom  Stebbins has been involved in bringing jobs and economic development to New York since graduating from the MBA program at Cornell University in 2007.  Before becoming the executive director of the Lawsuit Reform Alliance of New York, Tom was a project manager for Horizon Wind Energy, where he developed multiple commercial-scale wind farms in New York and the Northeast United States.  Prior to joining Horizon, Tom worked for PBS flagship station WGBH-TV, where he coordinated the national marketing and promotion efforts for programs such as NOVA, Masterpiece Theatre and Antiques Roadshow.

Tom is personally devoted to the issue of head injury and has worked with his family to build three homes dedicated to the care of people affected by head injury.  He has a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and an MBA from Cornell University.  Tom currently lives in the Albany area with his wife and two children.

 

 


 Scott Hobson- Legislative Analyst

Scott Hobson joined the Lawsuit Reform Alliance of New York in 2010 and is involved in research, issue development, and government affairs. His previous experience is in information research, nonprofit funding, and retail banking. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University at Albany, and is currently pursuing a Masers in Public Administration from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy.

As a lifelong resident of New York State, Scott is committed to local and statewide issues. Prior to joining LRANY, he organized a 3,800-mile cross country bicycle ride to raise money and awareness of Type I Diabetes, a disease that affects several people close to him. Scott currently resides in Albany.

 

 

 


 Phoebe Stonbely-Analyst

Phoebe Stonbely is an analyst with the Lawsuit Reform Alliance of New York where her responsibilities include marketing and fundraising strategies, government outreach and operational functions.  Prior to joining LRANY, she worked with Capital Care Medical Group, where she saw firsthand the effect of lawsuits on the health care system.  Phoebe brings strengths in social media and spreading awareness via alternative vehicles to LRANY.

She graduated from the University at Albany in December 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, concentrating in finance and marketing and a minor in psychology. Phoebe is currently working on completing her MBA from the University at Albany with an expected graduation date of May 2014.
